The Turkmen railway department is establishing contacts with the French company Arterail
Representatives of the Turkmendemiryollary agency held negotiations with the management of the French service company Arterail, specializing in railway systems. The meeting was attended by president of the company, Jerome Garcia, and other specialists, as well as the head and staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France.
Turkmen railway workers briefed French experts on the implementation of projects for the development of the country's railway infrastructure, modernization and electrification of the industry, which opens up prospects for mutually beneficial partnerships with foreign companies. Arterail expressed interest in establishing such interaction with the railway administration of Turkmenistan and the intention to contribute to the implementation of the planned projects.
In turn, the Turkmen side invited the delegation of the Arterail company to visit Turkmenistan in order to substantively study the possibilities of cooperation on the spot.
They also discussed the preparation of a preliminary draft Memorandum of Understanding to establish partnership contacts with a French company in the field of railway transport, according to the department’s website.
