The Council of Permanent Representatives to the CIS and the Commission on Economic Affairs will meet on March 19
A joint meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth member states under the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth and the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council is expected to be held on March 19, 2024. The draft agenda for the upcoming meeting was approved at a meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission held in Moscow on February 21, during which a number of aspects of economic cooperation between the CIS member states were considered.
Members of the Commission reviewed information about obstacles in mutual trade between Commonwealth countries and recommendations for eliminating them. This issue will be included in the agenda of the next meeting of the CIS Economic Council on March 29, 2024.
Members of the Commission were informed about the implementation of the Main Directions for the Development of Radio Navigation of the CIS Member States and the activities of the Interstate Coordination Council for Scientific and Technical Information in 2019–2023. Particular attention was paid to the formation and content of the Internet portal “Information for innovative activities of the CIS member states,” etc.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a presentation of the results of negotiations on concluding free trade agreements between the EAEU and third countries was held.
