The Chairman of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, received on Monday a letter of credence from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to Turkmenistan, Jose Luis Martinez Hernandez.

On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Speaker of the National Parliament congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and wished him success in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.

The Chairman of the Mejlis acquainted the Ambassador with the composition of the Turkmen parliament and its multifaceted work. The parties expressed their readiness to intensify parliamentary contacts within the framework of international parliamentary structures.

Jose Luis Martinez Hernandez assured that he would make every effort to further deepen cooperation in the interests of both countries, according to a statement on the website of the Mejlis.
