The Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in the official events of the National holiday of Lithuania
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus and at the same time to the Republic of Lithuania was on a business trip to Vilnius last week to participate in the annual meeting of heads of diplomatic missions accredited in this country with the President of Lithuania.
On Wednesday, February 14, Ambassador Nazarguly Shagulyev met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Jonas Survil. They discussed current areas of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and also touched upon such important topics as planning and organizing high-level meetings.
In this context, the parties considered the possibility of holding the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Committee of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Lithuania during 2024, as well as a number of cultural and humanitarian events.
On February 15, Nazarguly Shagulyev, along with ambassadors of other countries, took part in an official reception with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on the occasion of the national holiday - the 106th anniversary of the restoration of the state.
The next day, the Turkmen Ambassador participated in the flag-raising ceremony of the three Baltic countries at Simonas Daukantas Square in the center of Vilnius. President Gitanas Nauseda spoke at the event, who spoke about the work done during the years of independence and the upcoming work of the state.
