UN: Turkmenistan's neutrality is a beacon in creating a global multilateral environment

Through open dialogue and willingness to find common ground, Turkmen diplomats bring an understanding of the enormous value of peace for all, to the creation of a global environment in which multilateralism flourishes, said Dmitry Shlapachenko, UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan, at the international conference "Magtymguly's Concept of Peace is the basis of Turkmenistan's foreign policy."
He noted such initiatives of Turkmenistan as the creation of a Regional Center for Climate Change Technologies in Central Asia or the development of a Global Zero Emissions Strategy.

Shlapachenko noted that in more than 25 years of his work in the field of international relations, "I have never seen the world in such great danger," and the need for international cooperation has never been so acute.
"In this difficult situation, Turkmenistan's commitment to neutrality and international dialogue is a beacon of hope. And this hope is embodied in the actions of Turkmen diplomats," Shlapachenko said.
