Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Aleksandar Vucic on Serbian Statehood Day

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and the people of this country on the occasion of the national holiday - Statehood Day.
...Statehood Day, being the main national holiday of the Republic of Serbia, is celebrated in the country for two days - February 15-16, which are declared holidays.
But it should not be surprising that these days, in the celebrations held everywhere, a special place is given to the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The fact is that 189 years ago, on February 15 (and this is the day when one of the oldest and especially revered holidays of the Candlemas of the Lord is celebrated by Christians), the first democratic Constitution of Serbia was adopted. Therefore, it is often called the Sretenje Constitution ("Candlemas Constitution").
But that’s not all: on February 15, the republic also celebrates another holiday - Serbian Army Day.
Therefore, on these days, a large number of festive events are held throughout Serbia - both state and church. Congratulatory speeches by the country's leadership on radio and television programs harmoniously coexist with Christian prayers, and official ceremonies of laying wreaths at memorial sites are intertwined with solemn rites of worship…
Head of the Turkmen state, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in a congratulatory message, wished President of the Republic of Serbia, Vucic, health, happiness and prosperity, and the people of this country - peace, further development and prosperity.
