Turkmenistan put forward new global proposals at the World Government Summit


The Turkmen delegation led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov took part in the meetings of the World Government Summit - WGS 2024) in Dubai, February 12.
During his speech at the “Effective Policy” session, Rashid Meredov emphasized that Turkmenistan, as a responsible member of the international community, clearly formulates and implements its approaches and actions, outlining priorities according to which the country’s contribution will contribute to the speedy achievement of global goals.
In this context, aspects such as transport connectivity and sustainability were highlighted, and therefore the creation of a Global Atlas of Sustainable Transport Connectivity was proposed.
Turkmenistan’s initiatives to create the Global Energy Security and Sustainability Cooperation Alliance and develop the Global Circular Economy Transition Framework based on the priorities of the Agenda in the area of sustainable development for the period until 2030 were also announced, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
