By 2035, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) intends to create its own orbital station. The head of the Indian space agency, Sridhara Panicker Somnath, announced this during the Adi Sankara Trust award ceremony.

The first module of the Indian space station will reportedly be ready by 2028.

The country also plans to send its first spacecraft, “Gaganyaan”, into orbit with a crew on board by the end of the next year.

Before, this year, India intends to send into space a humanoid robot named Vyommitra, which should test the life support systems of the “Gaganyan” spacecraft.

The robot is able to control the parameters of the orbital module, control six panels of the ship and answer questions from the flight control center.
