The hosts of the tournament opened the scoring in the 27th minute thanks to a goal by Hassan Al-Haydos, who struck from an acute angle and carried the ball through the hands of goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov. The Uzbek team was able to equalize the score in the 59th minute with Odiljon Khamrobekov's goal from the right flank.

In the semifinals, Qatar will face Iran, which beat Japan 2-1 in the quarterfinals.
