The meeting of the Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Turkey to Belarus took place in Minsk


The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus, Nazarguly Shagulyev, met with the new Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Minsk, Gyuclu Cem Oy. The meeting was held in the building of the Turkmen Embassy on the initiative of the Turkish side on Monday, February 5.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation in trade, economic, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The high dynamics of the development of interstate relations, as well as the availability of extensive potential, resources and prospects for bilateral cooperation based on the common history, language, religion and culture of the two countries were emphasized, the Turkmen diplomatic mission reported.

Nazarguly Shaguliyev informed his Turkish counterpart that the year 2024 in Turkmenistan is being held under the motto "The Storehouse of the mind of Magtymguly Pyragy. In this regard, various events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker are being held in the country and abroad.
It was also discussed that TURKSOY declared 2024 the Year of Magtymguly Pyragy , and the Turkmen city of Anau became the cultural capital of the Turkic world this year. Therefore, many events of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, including traditional ones, will be held in Turkmenistan.

At the end of the meeting, Shagulyev presented to the guest the first book by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov "Youth is the pillar of the Motherland", focusing on the youth policy pursued by the head of state aimed at the active participation of young people in the economic, political and cultural life of the country.
