In December 2022, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed and approved a plan of events to mark the solemn celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly. Previously, a corresponding organizing committee was created. Today, thematic meetings, forums, presentations, and creative events dedicated to the great Turkmen poet are being held in Turkmenistan and abroad.

As part of the upcoming anniversary celebrations, the opening of a grandiose monument to Magtymguly Fragi in the south of Ashgabat is planned. The initiator of the creation of a cultural and park complex dedicated to the classics of Russian literature in the foothills of the Kopetdag is National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. According to his proposal, monuments to poets and thinkers of other countries will also be installed on the territory of the complex. This will become the personification of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness of peoples, which Magtymguly Fragi called for in his works.
