By decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov was appointed simultaneously Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of the Philippines, with residence in Tokyo.
Ashgabat and Manila, the capital of the Philippines, established diplomatic relations on July 23, 1993.
In November 2023, new Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, Roberto Manalo, was accredited in Ashgabat, with residence in Tehran.
