The 1st Summit of Air Navigation Structures of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Central Asian Countries is being held in Baku
The first summit of heads of air navigation structures of Azerbaijan, Turkey and the countries of Central Asia - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) under the auspices of CANSO has begun in Baku, AZERTAC reports.
CANSO is an international organization of air navigation support providers.
The forum discusses issues of development and air traffic control in the region. The result will be coordinated decisions aimed at increasing flight safety and improving the efficiency of joint activities. The summit will conclude on January 25.
Air navigation service providers are key participants in the aviation industry, responsible for ensuring flight safety, developing air transport corridors in the region, and ensuring transit flow through the airspace of countries. They create conditions for ensuring the global air transportation chain, increasing flight efficiency, supporting the concept of sustainable development and reducing the impact on the environment.
Air navigation services for aircraft in the airspace of Turkmenistan are provided in accordance with international standards, ensuring flight safety. In recent years, additional new international routes have been opened, which allow airlines to reduce the cost of flights, as well as the load on other air routes.
A simplified procedure for issuing permits for aircraft of foreign airlines to fly over and perform technical landings on the territory of Turkmenistan was also introduced, which resulted in a noticeable increase in flights through the country.
