The Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports has been disbanded in Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports has been disbanded in Uzbekistan. The relevant document was signed by the President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the information portal reports Url.uz.

According to the document, two separate departments are being created on the basis of the former ministry – the Ministry of Sports and the Agency for Youth Affairs.

The Agency for Youth Affairs is subordinated to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Sports will be located at 2 Abdullah Kadiri Street, and the Youth Affairs Agency at 11 Alisher Navoi Street.

In order to reduce State budget expenditures in Uzbekistan, activities are underway to optimize public institutions.
