Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan met with Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan


Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi on Monday, January 22.
Hayashi welcomed the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Meredov to Japan a year after his previous visit, and also expressed gratitude for the message of condolences from Turkmenistan in connection with the earthquake on the Noto Peninsula.

He noted that he well remembers the substantive discussions on strengthening economic relations and cooperation in the field of education and culture during the bilateral meeting held in Tokyo in December 2022 on the sidelines of the 9th meeting of foreign ministers within the framework of the Central Asia plus Japan dialogue, the Japanese Foreign Ministry reports.
Meredov and Hayashi exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral relations and in the format of ties between Central Asia and Japan.
Both sides confirmed the importance of close cooperation in various fields, such as economics, including decarbonization, and academic fields.
