Samad Hasanzadeh has been elected the new president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Iran. This became known at the 8th meeting of the Council of the Chamber, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency reports.
He won 208 votes ahead of his rivals Farajallah Memori, Ahad Azimzadeh and Mojtab Giyabi.
Four vice-presidents, a treasurer and a secretary were also elected at the meeting.
Samad Hasanzadeh replaced Hussein Salahvarzi, who served as President of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry since June 18, 2023.
