A draft Program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2024 has been prepared


A draft Program for the socio-economic development of the country for 2024 has been prepared in Turkmenistan. The document was developed by the Ministry of Finance and Economy together with ministries and departments, regional administrations, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities in accordance with the objectives of the national socio-economic strategy and the State Budget for 2024. Deputy Prime Minister Khojamyrat Geldimyradov reported this at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.
The program provides for a set of measures and systemic actions to ensure economic stability, develop industries and regions, increase GDP, including bringing industrial enterprises to full production capacity, and create jobs, the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio reported.
Among the key areas of the program are the expansion of export geography, which provides for increasing the competitiveness of domestic production; development of the import-substituting sector in industry with an emphasis on the production of environmentally friendly products of high quality; state support for agricultural producers and stimulation of small and medium-sized businesses, improvement of public-private partnership mechanisms, etc.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to conduct a thorough analysis of the prepared draft Program for the country’s socio- economic development for 2024 in terms of industry production plans, indicators of socio-economic growth at the regional level, improving the standard of living of the population and employment.
