Opening of a new international air terminal in Almaty to take place in June


Opening of a new international air terminal in Alamaty is planned for June 2024. The press service of the government of Kazakhstan informs this.
Head of the TAV Airports Holding Company Serkan Kaptan presented updated information on the course of realization of the project during meeting with prime minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.
Opening of the new international air terminal will boost the growth of the passenger flow, expanding of geography of flights as well as provide residents and guests of one of the major cities of the republic with qualitative services.
With start of operation of the new international terminal, the working one will be used for only domestic flights.
According to the press service, annual potential of both terminals will come up to 14 million passengers, the volume of cargo traffic through the airport is planned to increase to 100 thousand tons.
