One of the largest manufacturers of electronic devices and computer components, Intel, announced the release of chips that allow the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in cars.

The first buyer will be Chinese automaker Zeekr.

According to Intel Automotive general manager Jack Wiest, the chips will allow car manufacturers to use generative AI voice assistants in the car that can answer questions about destinations.

The technology will also make it possible to use video conference functions and monitor cases of dangerous behavior in the cabin by the driver and passengers, for example, if children in the back seat are not fastened.
