Turkmenistan began to import more perfume
While food imports to Turkmenistan noticeably decrease in almost all positions, except for products such as tea, coffee, tropical fruits, the growth in the group of perfumery and cosmetics is seen in imports of consumer non-food products. This is one of the rare segments of the Turkmen market, which is almost not affected by the import substitution process.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-September of 2017 the increase in this group in relation to the same period of the previous year was 22%. Experts attribute this increase to the increase in the general level of income and the strengthening of family budgets of citizens.
Against the background of a general decline in industrial imports, the dynamics of instruments and optical devices remains positive: this year, this country received 8.7% more.
Along with this, the export of tanning raw materials from Turkmenistan has increased significantly - its physical volumes supplied abroad have increased by 25.4%, and also wool - 82.7%.
