Qatar will host the Asian Cup in 2024
In 2024, the Asian Football Cup will be held in Qatar from January 12 to February 10.
The tournament will be held with the participation of 24 national teams. In particular, Qatar, China, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Australia, Syria, India, Palestine, UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Iraq, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan and Oman.
As a result of the draw, which took place in May 2023, the participants were divided into six groups.
The games will be held at eight stadiums, including six arenas where the World Cup was held in 2022.
The Asian Football Confederation noted that the opening match of the 18th Asian Cup will be held on Friday, which is a non-working day in Qatar, and the final game will be held on the weekend. This is done for the convenience of the fans.
The group stage matches will be held from January 12th to 25th. The meetings of the 1/8 finals will be held from January 28 to January 31. The games of the 1/4 finals will be held on February 2 and 3. The semifinal meetings are scheduled for January 6th and 7th. The final is scheduled to take place on February 10. Since 2019, the match for the 3rd place has not been held.
