Turkmen Taekwondo player won the "gold" of the VII International Martial Arts Games in Minsk
Taekwondo from Turkmenistan Hoshanyyaz Durdiyev became the gold medalist of the VII International Martial Arts Games, which started today in the capital of Belarus.
Performing in the weight category up to 64 kg, he won in the final fight with a representative of Uzbekistan. The gold of Goshaniyaz was added to two bronzes of his teammates - Orazmyrat Charyev and Mykhri Agayeva.
The Minsk Games included the followers of 15 types of martial arts - mixed martial arts, kickboxing, karate, jiu-jitsu, kung fu, pankration, muaythai, oriental, grappling, etc.
Turkmenistan is represented by the Taekwondo team, which includes both experienced masters - champions of the continent, major international tournaments, and young prospective fighters.
About 4,000 fighters from more than seven dozen countries take part in the Games. The strongest competition is in taekwondo, 1200 fighters are represented here. Games are served by more than three hundred volunteers.
The capital of Belarus won a contest for hosting these competitions from Macedonia and Serbia due to its sports infrastructure, which was recognized by the relevant commission as the best among the applicant cities.
