The winners of the Central Asian Spelling Bee regional competition were honored in Ashgabat


U.S. Ambassador to Ashgabat Matthew Klimow visited the International University of Humanities and Development on Friday, December 29, where he took part in honoring the winners of the Central Asian Spelling Bee Regional Spelling Bee, including Mahri Durdymyradova, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of International Law and International Relations.
Rector of the IUHD and the Ambassador addressed all the participants and delivered congratulatory words emphasizing the importance of this victory. Mahri Durdymyradova was presented with a certificate and valuable gifts.

Spelling Bee is a competition in which participants must spell a word by reproducing its written vocabulary form.
Students from Turkmenistan successfully performed at the regional stage of the spelling Bee within the framework of the Central Asian Spelling Bee program in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, taking first and second places.
Turkmenistan was represented at the competition by four students who performed well at the national stage – two students of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and representatives of the International University of Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance.

Personally congratulating the Spelling Bee winners and interacting with university communities, all interested parties strive to inspire young minds, strengthen academic partnership and glorify the power of knowledge in shaping the future of Turkmenistan.
A similar ceremony was also held at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
