Kyrgyzstan has joined the Group of Friends of Neutrality in the Name of Peace, Security and Sustainable Development


Kyrgyzstan has officially become a member of the Group of Friends of Neutrality for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development, which was established on the initiative of Turkmenistan.

The new members will bring their valuable knowledge and experience to the work of the Group and will contribute to using the transformative potential of the policy of neutrality to build a safe and sustainable future for all.
The Group of Friends of Neutrality for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development is an informal structure under the auspices of the United Nations, which aims to promote a multilateral dialogue on the practical application of the principles of neutrality in achieving global peace and security.
Its creation was initiated by Turkmenistan.
Today, more than 20 countries have joined the Friends of Neutrality Group, in particular the co-authors of the UN General Assembly resolutions "International Neutrality Day" dated February 2, 2017, "The role and importance of the policy of neutrality in maintaining and strengthening international peace, security and sustainable development" dated December 7, 2020.
On August 27, 2020, the first meeting of the Friends of Neutrality for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development at the ambassadorial level was held in New York, and on December 10, 2022, the first Ministerial meeting of the Friends of Neutrality for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development was held in the Turkmen capital.
