Turkmenistan’s industrial sector is boosting the processing of local raw materials


Industrial projects for processing local raw materials have a flagship status in the plans to diversify the economy of Turkmenistan. They were also discussed at a meeting of the Turkmen Cabinet on Friday, where it was reported on the measures being implemented to modernize the country’s petrochemical industry and introduce advanced technologies at the processing plants of the State Concern Turkmenneft.
Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov informed about the ongoing work in the concern’s divisions in order to increase the depth of oil refining. As reported, the reconstruction of the corresponding installations is currently underway at the Seyidi Refinery.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the activities of the State Concern Turkmenhimiya in this context, including the establishment of new production facilities at the Guvlyduz salt works, where capacity expansion is planned through the creation of modern enterprises based on innovative technologies.
