An “anti-corruption” monument appeared in Tashkent


A monument has appeared in Tashkent, representing the efforts of the international community to combat corruption.
The opening ceremony on December 19 was attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the press service of the head of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.

The monument, embodying the efforts of the international community to combat corruption, was located in the business center of Tashkent City. It is a 12-meter metal composition with an upward-pointing hand and open fingers, which implies honesty and purity of intentions. This monument also serves as a call to other countries to unite in the fight against corruption. Its opening is timed to the presentation of the high International Prize for outstanding achievements in the fight against corruption to Uzbekistan, which will take place at the end of this year.
There are similar monuments in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the capital of Rwanda - Kigali, Tunisia and other capitals.
