Family values, healthy habits and online safety - eternal and new guidelines

USAID's Safe Migration in Central Asia program, in collaboration with UNODC and the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, organized a two-day workshop on preventing human trafficking, domestic and gender-based violence, and drug use on December 14-15.

The event is attended by representatives of civil society, social workers of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, representatives of religious organizations, and family doctors.
Participants received valuable information on how to combat human trafficking, which is a global problem and is often associated with psychological pressure and physical violence. Topics such as family values, healthy habits, family budget and online safety were also raised.

The workshop promoted ongoing collaboration and networking among various stakeholders. This collaboration is essential to creating a comprehensive response because it requires multi-stakeholder participation, including government agencies, health care providers, and social workers.

Overall, the collaboration between USAID, UNODC and the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, as well as the participation of multiple stakeholders in the workshop, promotes ongoing collaboration on such important issues.
