A ministerial meeting of landlocked developing countries will be held in Yerevan


The ministerial meeting of landlocked developing countries will be held on December 14-15 in Yerevan, Armenpress reports.
It is noted that the meeting will be one of the largest events held in Armenia jointly with the United Nations. It will be attended by more than 30 foreign delegations, including the Foreign Ministers of Botswana and Nepal, the Ministers of Transport of Zimbabwe, Eswatini and Lesotho, the Minister of Tourism of Malawi, the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Paraguay, the Deputy Ministers of Transport of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
The event is an official thematic meeting on the eve of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Turkmen resort of Avaza in the Caspian Sea hosted the Ministerial Transport Conference of landlocked developing countries in August 2022. At that time, the forum, under the auspices of the United Nations, brought together representatives of about 40 countries and more than 30 international organizations related to transport, sustainable development and finance.
