Kazakhstan will transport goods to Europe via Turkmenistan and Iran

The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan held negotiations with Turkmenistan and Iran to ensure free transit when domestic carriers use the Southern Route to deliver goods to Europe, Vice Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Satzhan Ablaliyev said at a meeting of the Kazakh government.
According to the official, this measure was taken due to the increased downtime of Kazakhstani vehicles on the Belarusian-Lithuanian and Latvian borders.
In general, according to Ablaliev, in recent years there has been a positive trend in export and import cargo transportation of Kazakhstan with European countries, and the volume of transit cargo from China has increased 2-fold.
The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working on the issue of providing Kazakh carriers with transit through Iran with access to the ports of the Persian Gulf and through the UAE with access to the cargo transportation market of India and Pakistan.
