Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on Wednesday, December 6, Vice-President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz, who arrived in Ashgabat on an official visit at the head of his country’s delegation.
Cevdet Yilmaz, in his statement after the meeting, noted that he had a very fruitful conversation with the head of Turkmenistan on a wide range of topics. The Vice President also conveyed greetings from Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Noting that he previously visited Turkmenistan as Minister of Development, Yilmaz said that he had the opportunity to see first-hand the development since then, and congratulated the leadership of Turkmenistan on the obvious successes along this path. In his opinion, cooperation between the two countries will greatly support the development process of both Turkey and Turkmenistan.

In Ashgabat, Cevdet Yilmaz took part in the opening of the exhibition of Turkish export goods and the Turkmen-Turkish business forum, a meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation, following which a protocol was signed.
As Anadolu Agency reports, the protocol identifies issues of cooperation in many areas: from trade and investment to customs, from human resources to industry, from energy to transport, from healthcare to agriculture, from urbanization to sports, and also outlines specific joint steps.
