Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of the IPC TRACECA in Georgia


For the first time, Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission, which was held in Tbilisi on Tuesday, December 5. The Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the IPC TRACECA Asset Asavbayev and other members welcomed Turkmenistan, with the accession to the international program of cooperation between the European Union and partner countries on the organization of the transport corridor "Europe - Caucasus - Asia", the number of its participants reached 14.
Deputy Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Annaev participated in the meeting, during which topical issues of international cooperation were discussed, in particular issues of multimodal transport.

The implementation of the action plan for the development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia international corridor for 2016-2026 and the processes of accession to international TRACECA agreements, the results of the TRACECA Permit System for International road Transport and the report on cargo transportation statistics along the routes of the TRACECA corridor for 2022 were considered.
The agenda of the meeting also included discussion of the draft Memorandum of Cooperation between the Organization for Cooperation of Railways and the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission, the main provisions of the TRACECA Business Council and other organizational issues, including preparations for the 17th annual meeting of the TRACECA IPC.
