Life expectancy in the CIS is growing
The average life expectancy in the post-Soviet space as a whole is growing. Experts believe that this indicator depends on many factors - the conditions of life support, the development and accessibility of medical services, the development of physical education and sports, natural and climatic features, quality of nutrition and water, etc.
So, according to the UN data for 2016, this indicator in Turkmenistan is 68.35 years, which is higher than, for example, in the Russian Federation (66.05 years), in Azerbaijan (66.3 years), Kazakhstan (67.35 years ) and Ukraine (68.1 years).
One of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan is to protect health and increase the life expectancy of people. In Ashgabat and the regions of the country, modern medical centers as well as sports facilities have been built and equipped with advanced medical equipment. Investments in medicine do not give a lightning result. However, according to experts, it will not be long before Turkmenistan will take a worthy place in the world in this respect.
