19.4% more cargo, than during the same period last year, was transported by airplanes of the Turkmenistan Airlines from January to October. While other types of transport saw a reduction in the volume of export-import traffic, in aviation, on the contrary, there was a noticeable increase. According to the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, 35.7% more export cargo  (excluding transit), and 7.6% more import cargo was transported by air. The total cargo turnover in the country's air transport sector grew by 14.5%. Positive dynamic is due to the growing demand for Cargo air services, which provide better proposals and has an advantage over other types of transport delivery in time. Passenger transportation and passenger turnover for the same period, compared to the period from January-October 2016 were increased, respectively, by 0.1% and 6.9%. At the same time, the occupancy rate of passenger seats increased to 0.70 compared to 0.66 last year, and the load-carrying capacity rose to 0.53 from 0.46 in 2016.
