The Turkmen film “Daraght” was shown at the Minsk Film Festival
The premiere of the Turkmen film “Daraght” was held on Wednesday in Minsk as part of the International Film Festival “Listopad’ (“Leaf Fall”) taking place in Belarus. The film by film director Sahysalikh Bayramov was included in the competition program of the festival and was shown at the Central Cinema.
Responsible employees of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and Turkmen students, as well as ordinary residents of the city of Minsk gathered for the viewing.
The Listopad International Film Festival is the largest film forum in Belarus, which takes place this year from November 17 to 24. This festival annually brings together film industry professionals and famous cultural figures from many countries.
The honorary guests of the festival were representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Belarus, the leadership of the Ministry of Education and leading universities of the republic.
The main goal of this film forum is to popularize the art of cinema, preserve a single cinematic space in Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries, and abroad, develop creative contacts and exchange experiences, promote creative youth in the field of cinematography, etc.
The title of the film means a symbol of fertility - the tree of life, which is often found in the embroidery of women's capes and the ornament of carpets. The film is dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the victory of the Second World War and tells about the years of the Great Patriotic War, the loyalty of Turkmen brides and the courage of the sons of the Motherland, who bravely fought on the battlefields of a brutal war.
