Turkmenistan is represented at the meeting of EXPO-2025 participants in Japan


The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Begench Gochmollayev took part in the meeting of participants of the international exhibition EXPO-
- The meeting was held from November 14 to November 16 in Osaka.
On the margins of the assembly, representatives of Turkmenistan held several meetings, in particular, with the Secretary General of the International Bureau of Expositions Dimitri S. Kerkentzes, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ishii Taku, as well as with the head of the Japanese Association of the World Exhibition "EXPO-2025" Ishige Hiroyuki. The delegates also met with representatives of leading Japanese companies.
During the talks, the Japanese side stressed the importance of Turkmenistan's participation in the EXPO. It is also important to note that Turkmenistan was the first among the participants to be officially allocated a land plot for the construction of the national pavilion – the organizing committee of the exhibition handed the relevant document to the Turkmen delegates on November 16.
The World EXPO was first held in 1851 in London, and since then similar events have been held around the world under the auspices of the International Bureau of Expositions. Osaka is hosting the event for the third time – the global exhibition was held in this Japanese city in the 1970 and 1990. The current EXPO starts on April 13, 2025 and will last 6 months.
