A young pianist from Turkmenistan is a laureate of the All—Russian Instrumental Performance Competition


Leyli Garyagdieva, a student of the Special Music Boarding School at the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory, became a laureate of the IX All-Russian Instrumental Performance Competition among students of children's music schools and children's art schools "Musical Marathon".
The competition was held in St. Petersburg. Leyli participated in it remotely in the "Piano" nomination. She performed an etude-painting by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Since the age of 6, Leyli has been studying the art of playing the piano under the guidance of Bagtygul Seyitkuliyeva.
The Music Marathon contest is aimed at improving the level of performing skills of students and teachers of children's music schools and children's art schools, creative development of children and adolescents, as well as popularization of children's and youth performance on musical instruments.
The performances of the contestants are evaluated by outstanding figures of culture and art of Russia, leading experts in the field of culture, composers, teachers.
Among the evaluation criteria: the degree of mastery of the instrument; the complexity of the repertoire and arrangement; purity of intonation and musical structure; musicality, artistry, artistic interpretation of a musical work.
