The 20 millionth resident of the republic was born in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tengrinews reports.
"The population of Kazakhstan has reached 20 million! I congratulate my compatriots on this landmark event! A happy family is the foundation of the well–being of the nation, the sustainable progress of the country. The state will continue to work to strengthen family values, protect motherhood and childhood," Tokayev wrote on his account on the social network X.
The 19 millionth citizen of Kazakhstan was born in August 2021.
