A meeting of the heads of railway departments of the countries participating in the international multimodal transport corridor “Countries of the Asia-Pacific Region-China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Europe”, called CASCA+, started in Ashgabat.

Representatives of the public and private sectors of the countries participating in the transport corridor are discussing the revitalization of the route.

The CASCA+ project was created with the aim of increasing the volume and efficiency of rail freight transportation in the China-Europe-China direction by using the transit capabilities of the participating countries.

The meeting will continue until November 17.
