Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Doha, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, met on Sunday, November 12, with Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi.

At the meeting, current relations and prospects for cooperation between the two countries were discussed, the Department of Media and Communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar reports.

Ambassador Seyitmammedov officially assumed the position of head of the diplomatic mission in Qatar in August 2023, presenting his credentials to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

This year, the two countries have charted a course to intensify bilateral and multilateral cooperation: for example, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a visit to Doha in March, during which a Turkmen embassy was opened.
