The President of Turkmenistan and the Emir of Qatar held talks in expanded and narrow format
20.03.2023 | 18:41 |President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held official talks in Doha. They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of their development in all areas, especially in education, economy, investment, trade, energy, sports and social issues, and exchanged views on the most pressing regional and international issues.
The negotiations were attended by the Qatari side: Minister of Internal Affairs Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Head of Amiri Diwan (Administrative Office of the Emir) Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al-Suleiti, Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali, Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Subaye, Minister of State for Energy Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of Trade and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qasim Al Thani, Minister of Education Butaina Bint Bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi and Minister of Labor Ali bin Saeed bin Smayh Al-Marri, Minister of Labor.
On the Turkmen side, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister for Trade and Private Sector Batyr Atdayev, Deputy Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy Ashirguly Begliyev, Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Economic Block Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, Prosecutor General Serdar Myalikguliyev, Minister of Education Gurbangul Atayeva, Minister of Finance and Economy Serdar Jorayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Muhammetseyit Sylapov and a number of members of the official delegation.
In addition to extended negotiations and signing of joint documents, the President of Turkmenistan and the Emir of Qatar held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
