Continuous system of teaching foreign languages is being implemented in Turkmenistan
Advanced methods of teaching foreign languages will be introduced into the educational process of kindergartens, schools, colleges and universities of Turkmenistan. The development of a new Educational Concept was reported at a government meeting on November 24.
The main goal of the new approach is to create a holistic program in which a child begins to learn one or several foreign languages from childhood and then improves foreign language studies at all subsequent higher levels of education.
The main aspect is the continuity of the educational process. When moving to an older age group, or to other educational institutions, language learning should begin where it was interrupted at the previous stage of the education system.
The concept will be implemented in three stages. At the first stage, it is planned to study the best world experience and introduce it into state standards, as well as the curricula in Turkmenistan. The second stage involves improving the training of teachers and teacher trainers of a foreign language in the country. Finally, in 2021-2024 it is planned to introduce a continuous and interrelated system of education at all levels of education, and carry out control monitoring, which will illustrate the effectiveness of the Concept.
The study of foreign languages in Turkmenistan is gradually becoming a necessity. This is primarily due to the attractiveness of our country as a platform for holding various international forums, conferences, events, etc. as well as an increase in numbers of foreign companies with branches and joint ventures on its territory.
The development of a new concept, which will ensure more effective development of foreign languages, will allow graduates of educational institutions to quickly join the renewed international environment of Turkmenistan.
