In search of secrets hidden in the Black Sands
Turkmenistan is stepping up international archaeological research in the country, most of which is occupied by the Karakum - one of the greatest deserts of our planet. The order was given by President Berdymukhamedov at a government meeting on November 24.
To this end, Turkmen scientific and cultural institutions will hold talks with reputable foreign partners to find new opportunities to intensify the dialogue in this direction. In particular, it is expected to attract foreign scientists and specialists for conducting archaeological surveys in the country.
Turkmenistan remains one of the most attractive countries for historians and archaeologists from around the world. Uncovered by scientists civilizations, numerous monuments of culture and architecture, unique ancient sites and previously made discoveries on the territory of our country excite the imagination of both amateurs and professional connoisseurs of the past.
It is possible that the strengthening of international cooperation will finally lead to the unveiling of many secrets hidden under the cover of the heated sand of one of the world's greatest deserts - Karakum, which translates as "The Black Sands".
