Futuristic Science Fiction Museum opened in China

The Science fiction Museum has opened in the Chinese city of Chengdu, and it looks so unusual that it seems painted. The building has an amorphous shape, which is an expanding nebula cloud with a star in the center, according to New Atlas, which published "live" photos of the building.

The internal area of the building is 59,000 sq. m., which is divided into several exhibition areas, conference halls, event venues, galleries and theaters.

Transitions between spaces look like dark tunnels in which light flickers, creating a feeling of immersion in a sci-fi movie.

The spacious central atrium is naturally illuminated by a large skylight, and carefully positioned glazing highlights the landscape at key points, including a large window overlooking a nearby mountain.

The interior of the museum is naturally ventilated, and solar panels on the roof help to reduce energy consumption in the network. The landscaping is also of great importance: it was designed to use the adjacent lake to collect and store rainwater for natural filtration and reuse inside the building.
