A meeting was held at the level of higher diplomatic schools of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek


Representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan became guests of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting took place on Monday, October 30. The Turkmen Higher School of Diplomacy delegated its vice-rector for scientific affairs, Begench Matliev, and professor Ovezdurdy Mukhametberdiev to Bishkek.

Rector of the Kyrgyz Diplomatic Academy Akylbek Kylychev, in his welcoming speech, thanked the Turkmen side for the visit and emphasized the importance of developing partnerships in the field of education and diplomacy between the two countries.
During the meeting, the participants outlined prospects for cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and confirmed their desire to strengthen academic and scientific exchange, organize joint events and research projects.

Next, a round table was held on the topic: “Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations,” in which representatives of the teaching staff and students of the Diplomatic Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic took part.
Presentations were made by Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor Ovezdurdy Muhammetberdiev, professors of the Kyrgyz university, who noted the wide range of opportunities for developing cooperation between the two countries, assessed the positive dynamics in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan, recognizing the current level of partnership in all areas as high, constructive and progressive.

During the event, special attention was paid to interaction with the audience, and after the reports, students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the presentations. During the session, both specific issues related to the topics of the reports and broader aspects of international relations were discussed. The lecturers were happy to share their knowledge and experience with future diplomats.
