Turkmenistan and Türkiye strive to increase mutual trade turnover to $5 billion


During negotiations between Turkmenistan and Turkey, plans are being discussed to increase mutual trade turnover to $5 billion. This was stated by Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev in Ankara, Anadolu news agency reports.
Both sides expressed their readiness to take prompt measures to stimulate trade and increase cooperation in the economic sphere. The Vice President of Turkey noted that regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Economic Commission will contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
The Turkmen-Turkish business forum in Ankara will also provide good opportunities for businessmen and investors to discuss the prospects for joint projects and strengthen business ties.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan noted that Turkey is an important trading partner for Turkmenistan. He noted the successful work of Turkish companies in Turkmenistan in implementing large construction projects.
At the moment, the delegation of Turkmenistan under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is on an official visit to Turkey. It is planned that on October 26, the head of the Turkmen state will hold negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
