Magdanly opens the production of gypsum board

A new enterprise in the city of Magdanly (Lebap velayat) will start the annual production of 12 million square meters of gypsum board and 100 thousand tons of dry gypsum plaster in 2018. Gypsum board is used in many areas, which makes it one of the most popular building materials on the world market. The scope of construction works in Turkmenistan requires an increase in the production of various construction and finishing materials, including gypsum board.Aijahan ATABALLYEVA
According to statistical data, during the 10 months of this year, $251.4 million was spent by Turkmenistan for the purchase of marble, granite, stone products, gypsum and cement. The sizeable proportion of these construction materials is imported gypsum board.
The construction of a new plant for the production of gypsum board will allow providing builders and architects with the material of local production, which will become a huge contribution to the development of the national construction industry.
In addition to the application in the design of the premises, the gypsum board help to give the houses good sound insulation and protection against fire.
