Turkmen school will open its doors in the Russian village
The largest population of Turkmen in the Astrakhan region live in the village of Funtovo. Last year, at the initiative of President Berdymukhamedov, the construction of the Turkmen school began for this largest Turkmen diaspora.
The area of the two-storeyed educational institution is more than 3,5 thousand square meters. It will be able to accept 190 children. The building has two dozen educational classes equipped with modern school equipment, including computers. There are also medical rooms, a gym, a dining room and other necessary facilities.
The builders also thought about people with disabilities - for them there is a specialized elevator in the school.
Now the interior works have been finished. The school's interiors are decorated in Turkmen style, using traditional patterns.
According to the builders, some facing materials, such as facing porcelain stoneware, were brought here directly from Turkmenistan.
Residents of the village like the new school, along with the Astrakhan governor Alexander Zhilkin, who visited the facility.
