Our friendship with Turkmenistan is reflected in our strong people- to-people ties: Antony J. Blinken
US Secretary of State Antony John Blinken, on behalf of the Government of the United States of America, congratulated the President and people of Turkmenistan on Independence Day.
In his congratulatory speech published on the website of the US State Department, he said that he wishes Turkmenistan the most joyful national holiday.
– The United States remains steadfastly committed to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Turkmenistan, based on the principle of your country's positive neutrality. As we reflect on our bilateral achievements over the past year, we view our 32nd year of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to further develop our economic ties, address the climate crisis, strengthen regional security, and advance human rights.
Our friendship with Turkmenistan is reflected in our strong people-to- people ties, including educational and cultural exchanges, English language programs and cultural heritage preservation. As our bilateral partnership continues to grow, I look forward to seeing our peoples grow even closer in the coming year.
