Film director Sahysalih Bayramov joined the jury of two international film festivals abroad
Sahysalih Bayramov, director of the Oguzhan Turkmenfilm Film Studio, has joined the jury of two international film festivals to be held in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in the coming days.
From September 29 to October 2, the Turkmen cinematographer will be among the judges of the competition program of the XV International Film Forum "Pearl of the Silk Road", which will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan. Earlier, Orient wrote that in Tashkent The Turkmenfilm festival will present 4 films – two new ones participating in the film competition, and two will be shown in cinemas in Uzbekistan during the Days of Turkmen Cinema, which will be held within the framework of the film forum "Pearl of the Silk Road".
Sahysalih Bayramov received the second judicial chair at the Gorkut Ata Festival of Culture and Art Which will be held from October 8 to 12 in the Azerbaijani city of Shusha – the cultural capital of the Turkic world-2023. Within the framework of the event, a film forum will be held with the participation of cinematographers from Central Asian countries and TURKSOY.
At this film festival, another Turkmen cinematographer – cameraman of the Turkmenfilm studio Palvan Geldiyev will be on the judging panel in the Documentary Film nomination. By the way, viewers of the Azerbaijani film forum will be able to see Palvan's camerawork in the documentary "Children of the Sun and Water", directed and written by Bekdurdy Amansaryev.
In the feature film category at the Azerbaijan Festival, Turkmenistan is represented by the feature film "Gyzyl Alma" ("Red Apple") by film director Hekim Alovov.
