In the Minsk MGEU named after Sagharova 250 Turkmen students master environmental specialties
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Minsk Nazarguly Shagulyev met with the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Oleg Rodkin at the Sakharov International State Ecological Institute of the Belarusian State University.
The meeting was also attended by senior embassy staff and deputy directors, deans of faculties. As noted, today about 250 citizens from Turkmenistan are studying at the Sakharov International State Ecological Institute, of which 188 people entered the institute in 2023.
During the meeting, the issues of study, accommodation in a hostel, registration and consular registration, as well as the stay in Belarus of newly arrived citizens from Turkmenistan were discussed.
Currently, the educational process at the Institute is carried out at three faculties: environmental monitoring, environmental medicine, advanced training. Specialists are trained at the first stage of higher education in Russian in the following 7 specialties: "Nuclear and radiation safety"; "Environmental protection activities" (directions:"Environmental management and expertise", "Environmental monitoring"); "Energy- efficient technologies and energy management"; "Medical ecology"; "Medical physics", "Information systems and technologies" (directions: in healthcare; in ecology); "Medical and biological business".
Students receive one of the following qualifications: "Engineer", "Ecologist. Environmental Engineer", "Energy Manager Engineer", "Medical Physicist", "Software Engineer", "Environmental Software Engineer". "Biologist-analyst. Biology teacher", "Ecologist-expert".
After meeting with the heads of the Institute and familiarization with its library and educational process, the Ambassador met with first-year students from Turkmenistan.
